“I offer my respectful obeisances unto my spiritual master, who with the torchlight of knowledge has opened my eyes, which were blinded by the darkness of ignorance.”
Two important verses:
suna suna nityananda, suna haridasa
sarvatra amara ajna karaha prakasa
prati ghare ghare giya kara ei bhiksa
‘bala krsna, bhaja krsna, kara krsna-siksa’
“Listen, listen, Nityananda! Listen, Haridasa! Make My command known everywhere! Go from house to house and beg from all the residents, ‘Please chant Krishna’s name, worship Krishna, and practise what Krishna teaches.’” (Sri Chaitanya-bhagavat, 2.13.8-9)

Srila Bhakti Sarvasva Satya Govinda Goswami Maharaja was born in the year 1914 (428 Gaurabda) in order to bestow auspiciousness upon the residents of the material world. He was named, Santosh, the youngest of five sons born to Sri Taraka Candra and Srimati Padmavati Devi who lived in Laksminathpur, Uttar 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India.
After finishing his material education in the year 1932, he became attracted by the preaching of four pure devotees, namely, His Divine Grace Bhakti Viveka Bharati Goswami Maharaja, His Divine Grace Bhakti Srirupa Siddhanti Goswami Maharaja, His Divine Grace Bhakti Dayita Madhava Goswami Maharaja and Navina-krsna Vidyalankara Prabhu.
On an auspicious day in the month of Ashwin, Sri Santosh received Harinama Mahamantra initiation from Srila Prabhupada Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur at Bag Bazar Sri Gaudiya Math. At this time, by the mercy of Srila Prabhupada, Sri Santosh Kumar received the name Sriman Satya Govinda Das Brahmachari.
On Phalguna Purnima of the same year, during the appearance day of Sriman Mahaprabhu, Srila Prabhupada saw Sriman Satya Govinda Das Brahmachari’s eagerness and gave him mantra-diksa.
In accordance with Srila Prabhupada’s instructions, after initiation, Sriman Satya Govinda Das Brahmachari began assisting in the publications of the math under the guidance of Pranavananda Brahmachari Mahopadeshak Pratnavidyalankara (later known as Srila Bhakti Pramode Puri Goswami Maharaja). For a long time, he served at Sri Caitanya Math under the guidance of Srimad Bhakti Vilas Tirtha Goswami Maharaja sharing loving relations with his godbrothers.
In the year 1992, in accordance with the instruction he received in a dream from Sri Varsabhanavi Radha Thakurani, Sriman Satya Govinda Das Brahmacari accepted sannyasa (the fourth order) from his godbrother, Srila Bhakti Pramode Puri Goswami Maharaja, founder-acarya of Sri Gopinath Gaudiya Math, Ishodyan, Mayapur. In order to keep remembrance of the name given by Srila Prabhupada, he was given the name Srimad Bhakti Sarvasva Satya Govinda Maharaja.
He is a perfected instrument in the service of his spiritual master. In 1999, Srila Maharaja left the material world while staying at Purushottam Gaudiya Math, a branch of Sri Chaitanya Math situated near Bhakti Kuthir and the Samadhi temple of Namacharya Haridas Thakur. His body was cremated at Swarga Dwar, Puri, Odisha.
